My name is Larry Griffo.
I moved to the Poconos from Long Island about 15 years ago. There was a need for additional income so I started selling on Ebay and later sold at Flea Markets.
I absolutely love working the Flea Markets as much as anything. It was there that I met Charlie Giachetti. He and his wife Joanne own Old Lumberyard Antiques.
Charlie suggested that I rent space in the store to sell some of my items. That was about 3 years ago and it has been growing ever since.
Even as a kid on my bicycle I had a love for picking through people's garbage. I wonder if that is where the term "picker" came from. If it is, I was one of the originals.
I am a big fan of finding rustic and primitive items ( rusty in my terms) whether it be metal or wood. That is some of the things you will find in my space.
If it is odd or unusual, I love it. So come into the Palace Museum and meet Elvis. And the home of the fastest growing collection of gently played records in the area.
You won't be disappointed!
Thank you to all the dealers who have helped me learn along the way.
